About Me
My name is Rebecca Wright. I’ve been interested in films since I was about eight years old. Around that time, I started going to showings of classic films by a local film society. I remember being absolutely enraptured by films like The King and I, The Wizard of Oz, High Noon and Lawrence of Arabia, just to name a few.
By the time I went to college, I was still a major film buff, so I took all the film history courses I could muster on my way to an M.A. in American and British Literature. In mid 2007, I decided to start a website that would allow me to review all sorts of movies. It took awhile to really get going, but by 2008, ElasticPop.com was flourishing. I started reviewing DVD’s and Blu-rays on a regular basis, and found I loved it so much, I do it full time. I’ve added DVD, and Blu-ray related news to the site and occasionally there might even be a CD review or two.
At it’s core though, ElasticPop.com is an homage to the art of film, and I hope you enjoy it. If you have any questoins or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
